Product Description This Idigbo hardwood board is approximately 63mm thick, 145mm wide on average and 3.3m long. The width is sawn with a natural taper, typically between 140mm and 150mm, giving flexibility when setting out your cuts. Idigbo is a stable, lightweight and durable hardwood widely used as a practical alternative to Oak. It machines cleanly, sands smoothly and takes paints, stains and clear finishes extremely well, making it ideal for professional joinery work such as doors, window frames and sashes, linings, casings, stair components and bespoke furniture parts. You may notice small ‘pinhole borer’ marks in some Idigbo boards. These are historic, naturally occurring flight holes present in the timber before milling. There is no active infestation and they are not considered a structural defect; for most joinery and paint/stain finishes they are purely cosmetic. This makes Idigbo an excellent, cost‑effective choice for high quality joinery where performance, appearance and value all matter.
