Pistachio Hydrangea (also known as Glam Rock Hydrangea, Schloss Wackerbarth Hydrangea or Horwack Hydrangea) is a flashy coloured and unique looking Hydrangea. Large mophead flower clusters feature a combination of changing colours from a pistachio yellow green to scarlet red with violet blue centers. Pistachio Bigleaf Hydrangea blooms on both old wood and new stems, producing flowers longer during the blooming season. This compact, multicoloured Hydrangea has a rounded shape filled with large, glossy, dark green leaves. It displays an attractive fall colour when the foliage changes to a deep burgundy red. Makes an excellent cut flower. Hydrangea macrophylla 'Pistachio' has a good winter hardiness for an Hydrangea macrophylla variety.
