Hibiscus syriacus 'Diana', is a showy, tall white Rose of Sharon with unique, white, wavy-edged flowers with no eye. Unlike the flowers of most hibiscus, Diana Rose of Sharon blooms stay open into the evening, making it a lovely addition to the midsummer night garden. Growing to 8 ft tall and 6 ft wide, this white Rose of Sharon is a vase-shaped shrub, and a prolific, long bloomer. Hardy to zone 5a, it blooms from July to October, and attracts butterflies. Diana Hibiscus makes a wonderful hedge or specimen plant; and it can be trained as a single trunk tree with pruning. Its foliage turns an apealing golden yellow in the fall.
