Medium sized fruits Tomatoes need full sun and rich, fertile soil that has either had compost or manure dug into it or had a general high-phosphorous fertiliser or pellets of poultry manure added to it. Only add lime if the soil is very acid. Sow 2cm (¾”) deep. Plant 38-45cm (15-18″) apart. Space rows 90cm (36″) apart.
